What is the MOPS meeting room atmosphere like?
MOPS is designed to help you to be a better, refreshed mother. We ask that everyone transition their children to the appropriate MOPPETS classroom so as to create an uninterrupted learning and sharing time. If you have an infant with you, please be sensitive to this goal. As part of our program, children older than 12 weeks should be registered in our MOPPETS nursery.
How does childcare work?
Once per semester, ladies attending MOPS with or without children will be requested to donate her time in one of the MOPPETS rooms. Your table leader will inform you each meeting of the next assigned helper. Whenever possible, you will be assigned to a different classroom than that of your child. This is done so that your child does not have any separation anxiety the following meeting when you are not there. A mom of a baby less than 12 weeks of age may not be requested to serve until the baby is older.
What if I have to miss a meeting?
If you are unable to attend a meeting, please call you’re your table leader if you can.
How can I reach out to other moms?
The roster that is handed out at the beginning of each semester is for your own personal use. Please do not use it as a mailing list for private business monetary gain. If you, as a mom owning a home-based business and/or hostess of a party, would like to advertise you may do so for free in our monthly newsletter. Please contact your MOPS Coordinator if you are interested. Please note, if your business is against the beliefs of our chartering church then it cannot be printed.
What if I can’t afford the registration fee?
If you are unable to pay the MOPS registration fee due to current financial situations, do not worry. No mother will be excluded from participating in our MOPS group because of age, employment status, financial need, marital status, race, etc. Our goal is to nurture every mother of preschoolers and to reach out to her through encouragement and effective leadership opportunities. Please let the MOPS Coordinator know if you have any questions or concerns.
Can I bring a friend to the meeting?
You are welcome to bring a friend with you, however, please contact your Table Leader to ensure that there is availability of seating for your friend and available space in the MOPPETS room for her children.
Questions?
You have a number of people you are able to talk to. It is your choice who you feel most comfortable talking to. Table Leaders, Steering Team Members, the Coordinator and our Mentors are all available to answer questions.
